The Colosseum by the gay bars
Book now and pay on arrival
The Rome Gay Pride Parade is a mixture of fun and gay parties together with a more serious agenda of equal rights for gay men and women in Italy. A series of concerts, dance events, drag competitions, sporting and cultural events takes place across the city.
The Gay Pride in Rome takes place annually in the month of June. The route traditionally kicks off in Piazza della Repubblica and ends to Piazza Venezia.
Over the past few years the event has been transformed into a “Pride Week” with a Pride Park set up to host lectures, films and cultural events.
The pride event takes place against the backdrop of the Vatican’s interference in state affairs and continuing interference in the granting of equal rights for Italian citizens. The messages are strong but the party atmosphere is also unforgettable, especially at the end of the parade in Rome’s gay street.
