Events and Party nights in Gay Rome

Rome is home to some of the most famous international festivals and events, with a party on virtually every weekend. The Gay Event Calendar is wide and varied. Gay bears and their admirers are well catered for with weekly events including Bear Invasion on Fridays and the famous “Bear Mondays” at Vicious. Circuit party boys will love Muccassassina on Friday nights (arrive early to avoid long queues) and G I AM on Saturdays. Newcomer Crazyball promises to bring an Ibiza style vibe to the gay Rome party scene with international parties such as Rapido and We Forever. Another popular weekly event is Saturday night’s Tommy At L’Alibi, now in its 11th season – think crazy drag queens and decadent gogos!

Want to party till late, check out Frutta e Verdura, the after party event on Sundays from 4am to 11am. It also plays host to the popular Men2Men monthly dance party.

Finally, those looking for something a little different should consider Amigdala which takes place each month in various locations and is a mix of culture, concert and party.

Popular annual evens include Rome’s Gay Pride parade and Pride Week in June. Bears and fetish lovers head to the city in February for Fetish Week Italy and December for Catacombs, the annual bear gathering.

Finally, the party scene changes completely from mid June to mid September. The Gay Village is one of the most famous events to take place during the Summer Season and the Eur area of Rome becomes the centre of a gay village with spectacular drag shows, bears parties, circuit events and more. This is one party not to be missed.
